The TraumaFix Emergency Traction Splint is a clinically proven device used to stabilise suspected femoral fractures at the scene, reduce pain, and limit the risk of life-threatening complications during transport.

Traction splints are used to realign and immobilise the fractured femur by applying controlled longitudinal pull, which reduces bleeding into the thigh, eases muscle spasm, and decreases pain. The TraumaFix splint deploys quickly with clearly labelled components, so first responders can apply it under pressure without second-guessing the setup.

  • Stabilises femoral fractures: Applies controlled traction to realign the limb and reduce pain.
  • MRI and X-ray safe: Stays in place through imaging, avoiding unnecessary removal and re-application.
  • Compatible with spine boards: Works alongside spine boards and board splints during extrication and transport.
  • Fits adults and children: Fully adjustable straps and telescoping pole suit a wide range of patient sizes.
  • Rapid field deployment: Labelled components and a logical layout support fast, correct application.

Suited to ambulance services, emergency departments, military and tactical medics, mine sites, and remote-area first responders who need a reliable traction splint in their trauma kit.

When not to use: TraumaFix Traction Splints are not indicated for fractures of the pelvis, hip, knee, lower leg, or ankle, or where there is a partial amputation or severe distal injury. Always follow your service's clinical guidelines.
