AeroSwab Sterile Gauze Swabs are absorbent cotton swabs used to clean and prepare wounds before dressing. Each 7.5cm x 7.5cm swab balances softness, light abrasive texture, and absorbency, so you can wipe away exudate and debris without leaving loose threads in the wound bed.

Supplied as loose sterile gauze in sealed packets to minimise infection risk during clean wound care. Suitable for first aid kits, clinical treatment rooms, aged care, and home wound management.

How to use

• Wash and glove hands before opening the sterile packet
• Soak the swab in saline or wound cleansing solution
• Wipe the wound from the centre outwards, using a fresh swab for each pass
• Cover the cleaned wound with an appropriate sterile dressing

Sterile vs non-sterile gauze

Sterile gauze is processed to remove microorganisms and sealed in a protective packet, making it appropriate for open wounds and clinical procedures. Non-sterile gauze is intended for general cleaning, padding, or secondary applications where direct wound contact is not expected.
