The TRUST® Tactical Rapid Use Tourniquet (Gen 2) is a next-generation ratchet tourniquet built for rapid, controlled, one-handed arterial bleeding control. Where traditional windlass tourniquets rely on a rod and repeated wrapping, TRUST uses a dual ratchet mechanism to tighten in gradual, auto-locking clicks — giving responders precise, incremental control over pressure, even under stress, in gloves, or with wet or bloodied hands.

Designed for military operations, tactical EMS, first response, and high-risk civilian environments, TRUST can be self-applied or applied by a trained bystander, first responder, or clinician to control life-threatening bleeding from partial or complete limb amputation, or severe extremity haemorrhage — with correctly trained application achieving bleeding control in as little as 10 seconds.

TRUST is TGA included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG 527880), CE marked, and EUDAMED registered — supplied in Australia by MyMedEquip.

• Dual ratchet, auto-locking tension — eliminates the classic windlass "slack" problem; tightens gradually and locks automatically so pressure doesn't creep back.

Built for the field

• Housing: high-strength POM plastic, resistant to oils, fuels, solvents and many acids; rated from -50°C to +70°C; water-resistant and impact-rated.
• Tightening mechanism: reinforced stainless steel and POM for long-term wear resistance and reliable automatic locking.
• Handle: anodised aluminium alloy (6082) with a textured, non-slip grip and three defined positions — Use, Lock, Release.
• Strap: smooth, skin-contact polyester rated to withstand 3000 N of force, with a high-strength hook-and-loop outer face; doesn't absorb significant moisture, so performance stays consistent wet or dry.
• Weight: just 180 g.

Two application methods

TRUST can be applied as a pre-formed loop (lasso-style, slid over the limb) or opened and wrapped from the side — useful when sliding a loop over a compound fracture or partial amputation isn't possible.
